21 Sep 2007 comment on Thisissoul custom Deshi Kelso II with gold
PS. maybe deshi should design some kind of hard-plastic full-length cupsole that is imbedded inside the boot or something. thatway, it is strong anough to hold the rivets and screws and stuff.
I agree about the messed up alignment, I had to re-drill my frame holes. As far as not having bolt holes for the soul plates; It's really easy to just drill them out your self and but some anti-rivets in, regardless of the souls you are using(except maybe dual plates). I'm probably gonna do that with my DK4 souls soon.
about the soul plates holes, the point is, the more you drill into a boot like deshis, the bigger the chance it'll completely break underfoot. that's why deshi needs to make a completely newer and stronger undersole. deshis are so bad underneath, that i wouldn't compromise any more strength by drilling holes underneath, b/c by then you're pretty much drilling whatever's left as support underneath...and eventually is crack or break through. not work it imo.
It's true. TRS are getting worse as the years go on. Back in the day when they had internal cuffs they were amazing. Now they aren't. I wouldn't skate any of the new ones to be honest. They have no flex at all.
actually i thought the internal cuffs were the worse. they dug into the ankles/shins too much, and topsides hurt. im pretty sure these "newer" cuffs will actually be much better. also, are you sure you've tried the NEWEST TRS cuffs. im not talking about the DT II or IIIs. im talking about the DT IV that havent even come out yet. Supposedly the new material is much more flexier and comfier.
